My plays and productions begin with a question: What truth needs to be told, and who needs to hear it?

For more than 22 years, I’ve used theatre to bring stories to life that make people laugh, reflect, feel, and talk to one another. My work explores family, identity, faith, healing, and the things we sometimes keep hidden. I’m especially drawn to stories rooted in Black communities, where humor and heart often sit beside difficult truths.

I approach each production as both a storyteller and a creative director. From the first idea to the final performance, I think about the script, the actors, the visual world, and the experience the audience will carry home. Whether I’m developing an original play or guiding young performers through their first production, I want everyone involved to feel that their voice matters.

This collection shares the stories I’ve written, the productions I’ve helped bring to the stage, and the creative choices behind them. I believe theatre can open a door to truth, connection, and transformation.
